From the Beginning —
A Conversation with Kara
Kara has been part of DMSO Store for the entire 10-year journey. From refining processes to expanding educational resources, her steady leadership reflects the values we’ve built this company on — clarity, consistency, and doing things well.
What do you remember about the early days?
In the beginning it was just two of us — filling about ten orders a day with one small machine. We did everything ourselves: customer service, packing, operations, all of it. It was hands-on, and we learned quickly because we had to.
Today we have a team of more than twenty and dedicated departments, but that early mindset still shapes how we work. We’ve grown in scale and structure, but our focus hasn’t changed. It’s still about delivering a high-quality product people can trust — and making sure it stays accessible to those who rely on it.

PEMF Therapy
Over the past ten years, we’ve learned that our customers often research more than one approach at a time. While DMSO remains our primary focus, we’re frequently asked about other technologies that appear in adjacent spaces — including PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field) therapy.
Topical preparations and electromagnetic devices operate differently and represent distinct modalities. They are sometimes considered alongside one another, but they are not interchangeable.
